I think Vick is great as a backup. But take a look around at the league's QBs. There has to be someone willing to let him compete for a starting job.

I'd rather see what Barkley has than bring Vick back.

If Foles snaps his ACL in the preseason, I'd rather run Barkley out for 16 games. If the Eagles need a spot start from someone in Week 15 because Foles has a bruised rib, I'd rather see Vick out there.

or his last year in college...or his combine....what are you basing him on?....his freshman year at usc?...his fourth round pick status in the draft?

kid sucks but even if you believe hes gonna be good one day you dont want to give him a test run this season in week 12 of a potential playoff run

never hated foles....just didnt think he was a fit for chips offense and im still not sure he is...the difference is im not ready to proclaim him the distant future like you....hes still on a tryout as far as im concerend and id be suprised (not shocked anymore) if he was the eagles qb in three years

i do think its hilarious how if you are not all in on an eagle player from jump then homers think you hate him....a special breed are you guys

Barkley sucks. Vick is toast. Foles is slow and dopic. Darren Sproles. Superbowl.

As long as they didn't give up a ton, it will be interesting to see how they deploy him. And, as a bonus, he's always fun in Madden. Who will be the odd man out at RB, Polk or Brown?

trade....havent seen the return but i cant imagine its anthing more than a 6-7th rounder as he was going to be released

the best part of this deal is that they can truly limit shadys touches now....last year that was difficult because the guys behind him didnt have the skill set that fit the offense...now your back up rb is shady part II

meh...wouldn't have gone higher than a 6th or 7th. They were probably going to release him because of their cap situation. I'm fine with Sproles for ST/change of pace back. But they need Defense, not more offense.
