2008 was probably one of the worst drafts talent-wise in the last 15 years.  Not to give an excuse to the FO or Dan, but not many people were hitting on studs there.

WRs and RBs taken in the second and third rounds (after the Skins took Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly) who are better than either of the Skins picks:

Jordy Nelson, Eddie Royal, Matt Forte, Jerome Simpson, DeSean Jackson, Ray Rice, Kevin Smith, Earl Bennett, Jamaal Charles, Harry Douglas, Mario Manningham

This is supposed to be bad second and third round for offense?

Alfred Morris benefited from Shannahan's downhill blocking schemes. He's not big enough to be a bruiser, fast enough to be a speed guy, or shifty enough to make people miss. Not hating on the guy because I think he's a decent back, but there are 10 other backs in the league I'd rather have. He'll never be as good as Jamaal Charles.
