gibbs...who had been out of football for a decade and was still running the wing t...was a good hire? marty freaking i cant win a big game if my life depended on it schottenheimer was a good hire? giving control of your entire organization, for at least 2 years, to mike shanahan, who has done exactly nothing save for 2 years in the late 90's with john elway, was a good decision?

REALLY
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

If Dan Snyder's team ever succeeds, it will be in spite of him.  The guy is a problem.  He makes Jerry Jones look good.

yeah really....

a hall of famer...in the years gibbs was there he made the playoffs as many times as the eagles

schotty is the 5th winningest coach in the history of the nfl

and shanny is a fine coach who has won two superbowls

those are at worst solid hires....certainly all much better than jay gruden...which is all i said

be smarter...read a little and think about what you are gonna type before you start
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

PhillyPhreak54

I disagree on Shanahan...I was calling him a fraud when he was still in Denver. He's overrated.

Sgt PSN

Schotty probably would have worked out ok, but he only lasted 1 season I think and went 8-8. If memory serves correctly, didn't they start 3-5 and then finish 5-3 that year?

I knew Shanny wouldn't work. He's not a terrible coach IMO, but he's def overrated. He didn't accomplish much before or after Elway and TD.

ice grillin you

im not sure shanny can be overrated when pretty much everyone has been calling him overrated for at least five years

i think he is what he is....a good but def not great coach

I was speaking as of the time of him getting the DC gig.  He was still a big name at the time and overrated. At this point now, I think the rest of the league knows that too.

not going to try to defend andy, but bringing back a jesus freak nascar boss who hadn't touched a football in a decade wasnt smart. you were whining about chip kellys lack of nfl experience (didnt matter, did it?) but joe gibbs dusting off the archaic 1984 power I playbook is ok?

Quoteschotty is the 5th winningest coach in the history of the nfl

lol...regular season champion. the book on marty has been written 1000 times. kinda feel sorry for the guy actually.

Quoteand shanny is a fine coach who has won two superbowls

yea sure i guess?

they were not solid but yes, they were better than gruden. so you are right, baby.

I think we have found our new Art

QuoteNow, rightly or wrongly,  Bobby's word to me is like Coach Joe's. They speak, I take it as gospel 99 % of the time. (Even Coach isn't 'perfect' to go the full 100. .). Such is the reverence I hold both men in. They represent my taterskins childhood. My generational taterskins era that I was so, SO fortunate to grow up through and experience with this team that cemented this 31 years and counting love affair between us.

How can you stand to read that shtein?

Pure vomit.

PhillyPhreak54

Its hilarious to me because of how over the top ridiculous it is

Sgt PSN

It's a never ending contest among idiots to prove that they are the "biggest" fan ever. Probably no different than the EMB or any other team forum in that regard.  That's actually the one great thing about this place....it never developed into a fandom contest and is probably the only thing that kept me from jumping ship 10 years ago, because I certainly didn't stick around for you idiots.
