Michael Young has 19 straight singles? He's hitting over .350.

Any beefs, haters?

my favorite J post ever
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

HOF homers again, granted it's a rope in the cracker box of Fenway but still.

farging Wheels!  Saying the Boston crowd is booing Papsmear because they don't want him to succeed in another uniform.  Jesus Wheeler, remember two years ago when the hack blew their season on that last day of the season?  Tell it like it is buffoon.

if the phillies dont play AAAberry tomorrow (likely), theyll have 1 player above .260 in their lineup

ben. 263.

they also dont have an obp above .347

i guess HOF traded in his amazing eye for some power because hes on pace for 27 bb and 110 k
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

BigEd76

and he's 3 games away from going the entire month of May without a walk

110k would probably be acceptable if he's giving you at least 25-30 homers.  Still less than 1k per game.  27bb for the year would have to be some sort of record low for an everyday player though, wouldn't it?

ice grillin you

to be fair he is on pace for 34 home runs

polanco used to be in that range for walks....but he had sick bat control...HOF is doing absolutely nothing but showing a little pop...

what would make it more amazing than the low total of walks would be if he had a power season 34 hr and 100 rbi or something like that and <30 walks....even more so for where hes hitting in the lineup...there is absolutely nothing behind him....if he keeps hitting home runs youd think he get pitched around 27 times...problem is hes hitting .255 with seven doubles so he doesnt exactly scare anyone yet

eventually hes going to have to adjust to pitchers...gonna be interesting to see if in the second half of his season he can raise his average and obp while his home run totals regress because id be suprised if they didnt
