if they fully embraced who they are...maybe just maybe they could be ok.

but that would have had to start in january with a focus on speed and defense. no michael youngs no laynce nixs and certainly no erik kratzs. you allocate the young $ in pitching, specifically the front end of the bullpen. you try to win every game 2-1 or 3-2 or something like that. short, compact swings. aggressive baserunning. full and complete understanding in your limitations from the 25th guy to the manager.

but rube didnt set it up like that and ol chuckles mcgoo can only play 1 way--we gon hit them 3 run homers. and thats why they suck.
