100%, the guy is an absolute legend and anyone who doesnt like his voice should be castrated. He is the only reason I still pay for the baseball package - listening to him while falling asleep makes me remember how I listened to Bob Murphy nightly, growing up,

I was talking about this with my biggest customer today. He's from Detroit so he grew up with Ernie Harwell. The days of the iconic broadcasters are over and I hate that. The suits and networks have created clones of forced catchphrases and zesty announcing. Too many of these fargs talk and talk and talk.

Let the game breathe. The icons did it and it works. I watch the Dodger games when Vin's on the call just for him.

As for Soft Batchke and Dumbass Quentin...if Selig has any balls, which we know he doesn't, he'd suspend Quentin for at least 30 games.

The only reason I'd agree with a suspension of any length more than normal is because it was pre-meditated according to a report quoting his tweeter page.

Otherwise, Grienke should have grown a set and manned up and defended himself. It's baseball, tough luck, you're a Hoyda and got hurt.

Scully's phenomenal.  He describes the game in such a soothing tone and you always know exactly what's going on when he's broadcasting.  Sure, he mixes in stats and amusing anecdotes, but he doesn't do it just to do it and it never infringes on what's happening on the field.
