Yeah, I found a few articles about the DTs from SF.  Not terribly impressed.  And another about Franklin...not sure he's all that either.

Eagles are not going to have a decent NT, are they?

QuoteMARCH 12, NOVACARE COMPLEX – The Eagles front office was busy tonight as they kicked off free agency by agreeing to terms with five players after the league year officially began at 4 pm.

TE James Casey (3-year deal)
S Patrick Chung (3-year deal)
CB Bradley Fletcher (2-year deal)
LB Jason Phillips (2-year deal)
DL Isaac Sopoaga (3-year deal)

A third round selection of St. Louis in 2009, Fletcher Bradley (6-0, 200) posted 169 tackles and five interceptions in his four seasons with the Rams, starting in 26 of 43 games. The 26-year-old played in all 16 games (four starts) in 2012 and notched 25 tackles, eight passes defensed, one forced fumble and one sack. Bradley's best season came in 2010 when he started in 15 of 16 games and led the team with four interceptions. He was named the Rams' recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award that year after rebounding from a 2009 knee injury that forced him to miss the final 11 games of his rookie campaign. Bradley starred collegiately at Iowa and earned All-Big 10 honorable mention honors as a senior after starting 13 games and notching three interceptions for a Hawkeye defense that ranked second in the conference and 10th nationally in total defense (291.3 yards allowed per game). The Youngstown, OH, native earned all-state honors in both football and basketball as a senior.

Originally a fifth round draft choice of Houston in 2009, the versatile James Casey (6-3, 240) played in 61 games (20 starts) in four years with the Texans as both a fullback and tight end. The 28-year-old set career highs in 2012 in receptions (34), receiving yards (330) and touchdowns (3), while also being named to USA Today's All-Joe Team. He has tallied 66 catches for 752 yards and four touchdowns in his career. Casey starred collegiately as a running back at Rice, where he set school single-season records with 111 receptions and 1,329 yards as a senior in 2008 en route to first-team All-Conference USA honors.  A triple major in economics, managerial studies and sport management, Casey returned to Rice in the 2011 offseason to complete his degree. A two-sport star as a quarterback and pitcher at Azle (Texas) High School, Casey was selected in the seventh round of the 2003 Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago White Sox and played in their organization for three years before retiring in 2006 to pursue a career in football. James and his wife, Kylie, have one son, Cannon James.

Patrick Chung (5-11, 210) amassed 235 tackles, seven interceptions, three sacks, and 19 passes defensed in four seasons with New England. Originally a second-round pick of the Patriots in 2009, Chung has played in 50 games (30 starts) and has also racked up 25 special teams tackles. In a win over the Miami Dolphins on 10/4/10, Chung blocked a punt, blocked a field goal and returned an interception for a touchdown, all in the same game. He played in 12 contests (8 starts) and registered 53 tackles and two interceptions in 2012. Chung was a four-year starter at Oregon (2005-08), and twice earned first-team all-conference honors. The 25-year-old was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to California at the age of 12, where he started to play football as a freshman at Rancho Cucamonga High School.

Originally a fifth round selection of Baltimore in 2009, Jason Phillips (6-1, 240) has spent time with both the Ravens and Carolina Panthers in his four-year career as a reserve linebacker and special teams contributor, appearing in 29 total games. The 27-year-old played in all 16 games (two starts) for the Panthers in 2012 and led the team with 16 special teams tackles. A standout at Texas Christian University, Phillips became the only player in conference history to garner All-Mountain West honors in four straight seasons, amassing 315 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 50 career games. A native of Waller, TX, Phillips graduated with a degree in criminal justice.

Isaac Sopoaga (pronounced soh-poh-AH-guh) has been a key contributor to the 49ers defensive line over the last nine seasons, recording 447 tackles and 7.5 sacks in 125 career games (80 starts). Originally a fourth-round pick of the 49ers in 2004, Sopoaga (6-2, 330) has experience at both defensive tackle and nose tackle. The 31-year old is a native of American Samoa. He played collegiately at Hawaii after graduating from Samoana High School in Pago Pago. In 2012, Sopoaga played in 15 games (10 starts) and amassed 55 tackles and one sack. He also had eight tackles and one sack in the postseason, en route to a trip to the Super Bowl.

Gotta get use to the cold lol. It's cool tho.

ice grillin you

what was made incredibly clear yesterday is that it was all about culture changers....a way of trying to erase the pieces of shtein they signed the last two years that decimated the locker room and eagle name...secondary to that was overhauling a disgusting special teams unit

sopa is supposedly a ridiculous student of the game keeping up to date andy reid like binders of information...gamble vouch

casey is a rags to riches story who was beloved by the texans organization.....altho you have to wonder why they would let him walk for not a lot of money...also a special teams demon

chung is a kelly vouch and a really good special teamer

fletcher impressed the hell out of many in st louis by being the ultimate model citizen after being demoted

phillips is an all out special teams motor guy
