Sporting News can suck my balls.  They have as much of an idea what Kelly "wants to do," as I do.

Considering he's said what he wants to do about a thousand different times, and judging from the type of players they've acquired in free agency and now the draft, I'd say anyone who's paid even a little bit of attention has a pretty good idea at this point.

I'm not too sure why fans are saying they don't know what he's going to run. He runs a spread offense similar to NEs. Expect to see a lot of two TE sets, fast paced, etc.. He'll scrap the read/option portion if Foles/Barkley wins the starting spot. NE runs the same offense with Brady although I'm sure Chip will put his own twist.

There are a ton of tutorials on line if you're unfamiliar with Oregon's offense

CF draft grades?

I'm going B-

They didn't have a negative or positive wow pick and didn't reach. Thought they got good value with their picks. Hate the Barkley pick all you want (I wanted defense in the 4th) but I like the added competition at QB. It's unsettled and throwing another guy in there just makes it a more intriguing story line.

Whether you hate these offseason moves or love them, at least they're changing things up and it should be interesting to see how all the pieces fit together. I can't say one way or another how Chip is going to do but I like that he's scrapped a lot of the Reid mentality in regards to small quick players in favor of bigger players.

I've decided that I don't hate this draft for two reasons.

First, while I wanted every pick to be defense or OL they got good value (by consensus) on basically every pick and drafting the BPA as opposed to drafting to fill roster holes is something I can get behind.

And second, farg you why the farg not? Andy Reid's greasy finger sausages were nowhere near this draft and that by itself is reason to be excited. Ertz and Barkley are infuriating right now but could be huge winners later. And also too did I mention farg you? Good. A++++.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I didn't hate it. I mean, the only proof can come on the field. For now, though, they drafted for value. Okay. I still have a lot of questions about how successful The Chipper will be in general. So, like everything else, nobody actually knows shtein. The usual.

I said this elsewhere but I'll say it here too... this is a long term reclamation project, not a plug & play miracle turnaround in one offseason situation.  They picked up solid professionals in free agency and they appear to have selected college guys who were productive, high character & intelligent players.  I don't think anyone expects them to be a playoff team but the players they've chosen will at least make them competitive and far less embarrassing in the beginning.

This was about building for the future, not necessarily for 2013.  Taken in that context, to me what they did was logical and smart.

Time will tell, though.

CF draft grades?

I give this draft a "B" because I rolled a die and got a two. I am confident this result will be no more or less predictive of draft quality than anyone else's grade.

They didn't do anything indefensibly stupid and they are clearly changing the way the team drafts and plays. I was weary of the Reid years, so good or bad, right now I'm enthused by the change. They unfortunately did not get any "can't miss" players, but those guys are rare and zero were available anywhere in this draft.

I'm watching Chip's post draft PC. He all but confirms Jordan would have been the pick if Miami hadn't traded up.
