Who isn't?

Teams that like winning Super Bowls.

Yeah, but then you have to buy a place to display the trophy, buy polish...they just don't want the hassle.

Howie says the 1st round pick won't be a "project player" so I guess that's a good thing.  I'd feel better about it though if he said that they were just going to take the best player on the board.

He got his size 52 panties in a knot when I referred to Reid as a buffoon on Facebook (hi, PG!).   Seriously, it was like I was calling one of his children retarded or something.  He's not Eckel but he's no Ray Diddy or Bill Lyon, that's for sure.

This was one of my top 5 facebook experiences ever.

Rube being Rube and Rome being Rome.  Rube actually said (in reply to a comment I made) that Howie was a "highly regarded football guy" around the NFL.

Peter King:

QuoteEagles have been nutty about getting players who fit the 3-4. Hear they like Star Lotulelei a lot to play all along the line, even at nose. Where they go -- Geno Smith, pass rusher, best corner in the draft -- I don't know, but my guess is pass rusher.

With the 4th pick in the 2013 NFL draft the Philadelphia Eagles select? Two questions now that we're only 4 days from the draft:

Who is the Eagles pick? Do they trade back or take the BPA?

My gut tells me they're trying to trade back for more picks. They're doing a lot of posturing with showing interest in certain players and whatnot. If they don't move back I think Fisher is their guy and I'm fine with that pick.

Question two: Rumor has it Atlanta is hot for Dee Millner. They come knocking on the Eagles door and offer similar to what they gave the Browns for the 6th pick which turned out to be Julio Jones do you do it?
1st- (30th overall), second- (60th) and fourth-round (127th) picks this year and their first- and fourth-round picks in 2012.

Don't know if I'd do it because the firsts are very late which are almost 2nds.

I think the EJ Manuel interest is legit. He's probably a late first and I think they're going to try to trade their second and a later pick to move up to get him.

I wouldn't

You can trade back and still get him

I love Warmack but I don't know how he fits Chips scheme. He's a grater like Larry Allen...which would be fine if their offense was a power run offense like the Cowboys were. Chips schemes are all about zones, angling defenders peeling off and anhilating the next level.

Howie was on either WIP or the Fanatic a few weeks ago and was HYPING THE HELL out of Millner. It's posturing for a trade back because I don't think they have any interest in drafting him.

I would take that proposed ATL deal in a milisecond.

I do not want Fisher.

I would prefer to trade back and get Jones

also - Warmack's OL coach at ALA is now the Birds OL coach

thats fine then do it

but if they took cooper or warmack at four it would be money

not only are they the best guards in like the last 20 years but they fill the single worst position (danny watkins RG) on the roster

Early word is this is how the top 3 will go:
Chiefs - Joeckel
Jags - Jordan
Raiders - Floyd

I love Jones but I don't see them selecting a LB that early. Plus they have a bunch of guys who can fill the predator portion of Davis's defense like Barwin. I'm sure Graham and Curry will also get looks.

Rome

They're not winning anything this year so get the lines squared away and then worry about a QB next year.

SD

I hope they draft Manuel just so I can see rome's head explode
