theres no trading back for him imo....if genos your guy you have to take him at four....because potentially anyone in the top 8 other than kc or detroit could take him....these offseason workouts can easily create a monster to the point where jacksonville at 2 or the raiders at 3 could easily take him....christ the raiders are working out vince farging young....you dont think theyd take geno smith at 3?...or you could have a team trade up to to 1 2 or 3 and take him

That's really all I needed to know.  The rest is fairly obvious, imo.  KC is the only team in the top 4 that doesn't need a QB.  My initial thought was that if Smith was still on the board at 4 that they could move back to grab him.  But since you pointed out that Buf and Arz pick at 7 and 8, there's no real incentive for them to trade back because they can only move back a spot or 2.  They'd get very little in return for moving back 2 spots.  So if they want him, it's either take him at 4 or even worse, trade up to #2.  I guess if they're convinced that he's their guy, they have to trade up.  If they feel that strongly about him then they can't take the risk of letting another team grabbing him.  I don't think he's #2 worthy.  I don't even think he's #4 worthy based on the things I've read, but if that's their guy then they should probably move up.

if you lend that a lot of weight then the OT at four and manuel makes a ton of sense....it makes sense more in terms of what they will do than what they should do but i can definitely see it happening
