there are no college basketball fans during the year? ha, what?

the fact that none of the 4 people on this board are not into it does not make it so. get out more often.

theres fans but they are almost exclusively limited to college dorms and people who used to live in those dorms....its not a national sport like college football...cbb tv ratings are non existent....theres too many teams and the level of play is atrocious

it more or less doesnt exist to 95% of the country until march
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

The FGCU story is awesome. A legit Cinderella and I hope they knock the gators off.

LaSalle game is a good one too. I hope that douche for ole miss gets a nuts in his mouth dunk on him

wow lasalle--haha. this is great

Don Ho

Great games today.  This Illini/Miami game is excellent and Creighton/Duke looks like another good one.

Don Ho

What a horrible call against Illinois.  Clearly touched by the Miami player.

i guess people are missing the point about fgcu

the fact that they are in the sweet 16 is a joke. yes there are 2/15 upsets...even when cbb was good...but the 15 never makes it past that first one.

its a fun story but its sad there are no good teams left to put these guys away
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Every time it looked like Ole Miss was going to put it away, LaSalle made a big play to keep the game from getting away from them.  That Henderson dude from Ole Miss is a farging douche too.

And KU farging curb stomped the shtein out of UNC in the 2nd half yesterday.  Wasn't able to turn it on until there was about 2 min left in the 1st half, but KU trailed going into the half by 9 and came out farging possessed in the 2nd half.  McLemore has looked like shtein so far in the tourney, too.

That's what makes the tournament fun.

Yeah this has really bothered me and this statement bothers me even more. I love the guys talent, but dont just show the nation you can fly in the regular season--do it on the big stage too.

"It was a great feeling being on that bench and supporting the team," McLemore said

I hope it's just the college mentality with him.  He's a frosh and KU is always a senior heavy team, so even with his talent he probably realizes that he's not at the top of the pecking order and is just deferring to the upperclassmen.  His comments could just be him trying to be a good teammate.  Still, my biggest complaint with him all year is that he doesn't seem to have that dominant personality that you'd expect and his performance so far in the tourney (along with those comments) kind of support that.

BigEd76

That kid's gonna be the #1 pick in this June's draft, that's how awful it's gonna be

Watched less than 5 minutes of this entire season and still got 11/16, still have my Final Four intact and had a perfect East bracket

MDS

so to sum up everyone's take away from the first weekend

1. their brackets
2. how little cbb they watched over the year yet their brackets
3. how weak the nba draft is gonna be
4. florida gulf coast

aaaaaaand this is a sporting event
