I know this, and supposedly 'meeko' is fully recovered from his achilles injury, but would you have rather had Kuechly when Meeko blows his achilles out again or be forced to rely on Chaney?

id rather not spend my first round pick on a back up mlb because someone might get hurt

Fair enough, even though he could play the weakside and you'd give up nothing. He'd have no problem finding a position on this team. He'll be starting for Carolina sooner rather than later. But, oh well, I'll get behind Kendricks 'cause he's an Eagle now, it seems he has talent, and there wasn't any other player out there with the size I'd like to see.

My biggest problem with the LBs was, for the longest time, none had that "dog" in them. With Ryans and now this dude, if he pans out, we could have a couple of guys flying around and killing bitches. Hopefully it translates to the rest of the defense.

QuoteWhen [the Eagles] picked me up, I was ecstatic, I saw the area code, and I was like 'I'm not familiar with this one.'

Not surprising at all that linebackers don't recognize the Philly area code.

its gonna be interesting to follow the careers of lavonte david and kendricks....two similar linebackers who went within 15 picks of each other

i like kendricks but would have rather had david...however you cant fault the eagles for the way they played that round as they ended up getting curry and kendricks (david went one pick before the eagles took curry)

Yeah, I am happy they showed more concern for the linebacker position in this draft, but expecting them to let a LB beat out a DE with a similar grade would be a bridge too far.

I'm fuzzy on the order, didn't David go just before Curry, and Kendricks got picked 14 or so picks later?

No. Kendricks picked at 45. Curry at 59.
