That's right, farg 2012.  2013, LET'S DO THIS!

QuoteAn outline for the 2013 Phillies appears to be in place.
Listen to manager Charlie Manuel, and you can envision a team with Chase Utley at third base, Freddy Galvis at second base, a big-ticket free agent playing center field, and at least one quality free-agent addition to the bullpen.

I see...................................81 wins.

nothing could be smarter than signing another left handed hitter on the other side of 30 whose biggest asset is speed, something that goes down every single day you get older. nothing.

they also want cody ross, who is cody ross. yes, the same cody ross who was cut by the marlins, had 1 good game, and then was not wanted back by the giants after the following year. that cody ross.

amaro.

im calling it right now i want the melk man. he can bring his steroids.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You used up all your calls last season when begging for Coco Crisp, sir.

MDS

coco is a much better version of juan pierre, who sucks, who you love

there

explain, and im going to force you to factor in pierres cannon for an arm and the fact that its difficult to justify a slap hitting platoon player as a corner of

Pierre is a better hitter, IMO. While Coco hits for more power, Pierre is more consistent. Juanny is more durable too.

His arm is a wet noodle but I'll take his plate approach over arm strength

MDS

coco 10 hr, 35 sb, .318 obp, 430 ab
pierre 1 hr, 35 sb, .356 obp, 383 ab

i dont have any defensive numbers but juan gets an F while coco is probably a B. crisp can also be cf and that allows you to play better offensive players in the corner of spots.

basically they are the same player (juan a little better offensively) and a world apart in the field. considering the runs pierre costs them in the field and the fact that they produce about the same amount of runs...crisp is better but the truth is the both of them suck.

Pierre sucks but they got more out of him this year than they had any right to expect.  PASS on expecting that to be duplicated next year.

MDS

oh so all those slap hits and bloops might not magically find open spaces?

uh noooo. batting average begs to differ.
