Everyone will do well once they leave this toxic dump of a team. Hopefully cliff "im gonna pout like mcnabb because i don't have any wins" lee is next
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

With 81 games in the books and 81 to go, the Phillies are on pace to become the first team in major-league baseball history to win over 100 games one year and lose 90 games the next year.

Heyman just linked something that said victorino, blanton and polanco will probably go if they sell.

how the hell are they not sellers

heidi needs to go first...i mean even if you think you can resign him this offseason you still deal him to ensure you get something in return for him...especially so being that all signs point to them not retaining him

Except for every utterance from the team to the contrary, sure, they're definitely not interested in keeping him.

would have been signed long ago were they 100% invested in keeping him....particularly after cain signed....im not blaming them at all and in fact id prefer they trade him for prospects....but if they truly wanted it done it would have been done a while ago....they are rightfully concerned about giving him 150 million dollars

And conversely if they wanted him gone they would have traded him before now.  Bottom line is they can't afford to get rid of him.  So they won't.

what are you talking about....theres this little thing called the trade deadline you may or may not heard of

i suppose we could all wake up tomorrow and heidi have a new deal but id be shocked if he doesnt test the open market at this point....if he makes it there its all but over for the phils but theoretically they could still sign him this winter...either way you have to move him this summer for prospects that will start the long process of getting the system back to respectability....to lose him for nothing (draft picks) would be treasonous on smuglys part
