Does that bring his batting average up to .100?

Those Freddy chants were awesome

Guess there's a new FredEx in town. He'd like to thank his bats.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Nice game...took extra bases, stole bases and got timely hits.

FYI - Jiwan James is off to a good start in AA.

The Phillies have announced that Pat Burrell will sign a one-day minor league contract so he can retire as a Phillie. He will be honored prior to the May 19th game against the Red Sox.

Earlier this spring, Ruben Amaro said that the team would consider the gesture, but no announcement had been made until today.

It seems like yesterday when they drafted him #1 overall and now he's signing with the team to retire as a Phillie. Makes you feel old.

We were at his first minor league game when he played for Clearwater. My wife got his autograph on a ball that has Schilling & Tito Francona's sigs on it.

Still have it.

Also makes you realize how ancient the infield is when the prospective starter at every position is within like 3 years of age of a guy who just signed a ceremonial retirement contract.

i just realized mlb.tv has a "park" audio option

someone is talking about how she loves the law and order ringtone.

Galvis made a defensive play in the 3rd that Grit never would have made even if he was 100% healthy.
