if thye don't resign Hamels they've got a ton of money to play with next year. The problem is that money is gonna need to be split up amongst a 3rd baseman and either a catcher or an OFer...not enough to get a star at either position really. Or you get a star at one spot and a scrub at the other.

Next year's gonna be tough, but the tax goes up in 2014....I'd be okay with them having one real crappy year next year if it meant resigning Hamels.
