but my thinking is they might as well start cesar hernandez and freddy galvis up the middle next year and see where that goes. bringing back utley for one more season so he can hit .245 for a last place team doesnt really do much of anything for anybody.

The front office and players know they're out of it even if they don't say so publicly. I hope they play well enough to keep attendance relatively high. High attendance = Better team

They can rebuild the bullpen in the offseason, and convince the droves that they'll be better because they had some injuries, now have a better bullpen, and just had a down year.
