Wait a minute-hawk knows they have no shot in the playoffs but would like to see the Sixers take a couple of games for fun and not move up at all in the draft?

We are way past "playoff experience", so I'll be here all day waiting for the logic on that.

SD

In my opinion the Sixers have a better shot of hitting the lottery than they do winning a game against the Heat.

I wouldn't put it past the Sixers winning a game, matter of fact it will probably be the first game of the series they win because that's usually what happens.... then it's all downhill from there

NY holds the tie breaker so they're getting the Heat not the Bulls

they have more chance of playing the bulls than the heat....im not sure they win a game the rest of the year so out of the playoffs is the most likely scenario but what i def cant see them doing is finishing ahead of the knicks

i suppose miami could also still finish ahead of chicago but thats unlikely

Hawk

You act like the jump from sixteen to fourteen is significant.

reese125

It's not but it's something-and id rather play that card than playing in a no win situational playoff series.

Hawk

It's moot anyway.  They'll find a way to farg it up.      Faried was the slam dunk pick this tear since rebounding has constantly translated from college to the NBA and they took Voosh

MDS

another pathetic effort

what a disgrace of a team
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hawk

Can't wait for Lou to be off this team.

SD

Change is coming and it's about damn time

QuoteLeague source: Williams to opt out of contract, test free agency

Philadelphia 76ers guard Lou Williams will opt out of the final year of his contract at the end of this season and become an unrestricted free agent, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

If he were not to opt out, Williams would be due $6.4 million from the Sixers.

Said the source:  "He's indicated that he's not going to pick up his option.  All indications are that he's going to opt out."

Reached at courtside via telephone before the 76ers, fighting for the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs, game at Indiana on Saturday, 76ers general manager Rod Thorn said that he had not spoken with his leading scorer about his contract  but acknowledged that Williams can opt out his contract and become an unrestricted free agent.

"He has not said what he will do, but we will react to that when the time comes," Thorn said.

Said the source:  "He's indicated that he's not going to pick up his option.  All indications are that he's going to opt out."

Williams leads the 76ers in scoring this season, averaging 14.9 points a game in just over 26.2 minutes per game. Williams has not started a game this year. If this holds, Williams will become the only player to lead his team in scoring since Dell Curry did it for the Charlotte Hornets in the 1993-94 season. [\quote]
