so if the giants beat dc, lose to the jets and lose to dallas...theyre at 8
if the cowboys beat tampa, lose to the eagles and beat the giants...theyre at 8
if the eagles win out...theyre at 8

Prior to today's games this is what needed to happen;

Eagles go 4-0
Dallas goes 1-3
Giants go 2-2 or worse

The Eagles will win out and still miss the playoffs.  The only thing they accomplished today was guaranteeing themselves a lower draft position in April.  Of course, that's probably a good thing anyway because their drafts have been coat hangar abortions lately.

Dallas can beat TB but lose to PHL and NYG

If Dallas beats TB then we need NYG to lose to WAS. If Dallas loses to TB then NYG can beat WAS and lose to DAL.

The ideal situation would be both teams losing next week (which probably won't happen), but if one of them has to win, you want Dallas

right.  If the Giants lose to Washington and Dallas beats TB, the Eagles make the playoffs if NY beats Dallas + loses to the Jets.

assuming the eagles win out obviously.
