i've heard a few times that washburn doesn't want to be a dc, he just wants to coach wide nine.

ice grillin you

of course because it makes an excuse for hiring an OL coach as DC

It doesn't seem too far fetched.   They put a yes man at dc who just lost his job to Howard mudd.

ice grillin you

i dont even think he lost his job to mudd....i think andy truly believed he could run a defense and thats what juanny has always wanted to do so he gave his buddy a chance

but i think if mudd had stayed retired juanny would still be OL coach

Off question, but does anyone know why DJax taunting penalty wasn't assessed after the 50 yd completion?

i think it was because the giants were also penalized on the play...in essence the pimp penalty was never assessed....it was offsetting and the down was played over

A post play penalty offset a live play penalty.    Me no understand.

SunMo

if theres an offensive holding then a post whistle defensive personal foul the down is played over....thats always been my understanding anyway

doesnt make sense

what about after a touchdown. they assess a taunting or any personal foul on the kickoff

why wouldnt they do the play over and wipe the td away then?

ice grillin you

i dont see the issue....the next play doesnt start when pimp runs out of bounds....it starts when the ball is snapped...so when he taunted it was still part of that individual play....the same play where the giants got illegal contact...thus offsetting

where i think its uneven is in the severity of the penalties...for example the offense could have an illegal motion and the defense could have the latest hit of all time that put a guy out for the season and the rule treats them equally

because a score is treated differently...once you cross the goal line its a new play...just like you cant fumble in the end zone...once you are in everything is a clean slate
