Yeah, so enough about Tony Romo...

This has to be the week they unwrap DeSean Jackson. Its time to give him some love in the deep game. I can't seem to remember when the last time they took a deep shot. I know Marty talked about how the DBs were playing soft coverage to keep everything in front of them but they need to scheme to draw them closer.

Vick was interviewed yesterday and said the reason he cant get Jackson the ball is because the teams are playing 2 deep safeties a lot further back than normal. He said he can hardly see them like hes used to.

That explains a lot and maybe the reason Shady is able to get to past the 2nd level more than enough times as well. Regardless, if that really is the case than there is no reason they cant scheme to get the other receivers to get over top the LB's for big chunks of yards, and get Celek more involved over the middle.

Or just keep feeding Shady until the safeties creep up and then torch them deep.

LBIggle

pretty sure they did that last week without the whole torching them deep thing.

You know how we feel about "creepin".

Fargin take the short stuff with Brent, Shady, hell throw Brown in there, until the defense decides to cheat down, then open up deep. Why is it that everyone and there fargin mother can comprehend this except the Eagles. Mother of all that is holy figure it out moron's!

The fact any Eagles fan would bet on the Cowboys (regardless of the possible validity) is absolutely fargin putrid!
Even as the very casual sports bettor that I am I can't understand this attitude: "How dare you bet on the Eagles to lose or one of their rivals to win?" We all know that the Eagles lose games and their rivals win games. Why not use the many, many hours you spend watching the NFC east to make yourself some beer money? Betting on the Cowgays to cover the spread against the 49ers or the Eagles to lose against Pittsburgh doesn't mean you want it to happen, it just means you think it is more likely to happen than the odds that are posted, and you are willing to put your money where your mouth is.
You can't tell me that you have never said "I think the Eagles are going to lose this one." If you think that, than why not bet that?

I meant over the Eagles....i should have been more clear. Betting on them is one thing, but not when they are playing the birds.

Although it should be a priority, getting Pimp the ball isn't really the biggest thing for the Eagles to worry about in order to avoid an embarassment. Vernon Davis will torch this D, and Frank Gore, although a little beat up, is going to be a problem. This D makes borderline pro-bowler rb's look like hall of famers and can make injured rb's look healthy real quick. Everyone seems to be talking offense. The national media is focused on Vick and wether he'll be able to play, and play well. None of the offesive stuff matters if the Eagles D can't stop anyone.

How many people picked the Giants to win last week in the prediction thread? I only remember one person, and he was the only person who picked correctly. Not to mention, the person on here who constantly calls other posters 'homers', predicted an Eagles blowout.

Can you almost predict with certainty that when games (any games) are very close that Romo will farg it up somehow

19-17 in games decided by seven or less and 12-8 in games decided by three or less disagrees

I like how whenever igy is proven wrong, he always pulls out the "you don't watch the games" schtick.

heres what happens in sports today...romo loses a couple playoff games...like literally a couple...espn heads think its a good idea if we create the myth that the dallas cowboys qb is a monster choker...would make for a great long running story if he doesnt win and if he does win we will flip it and talk about the great makeover hes done and how great he is...so once this faux rumor is put out there by stu scott on a few monday night countdowns (and others) dope mesage board heads and youngins who dont know shtein eat it all up and before you know it hes the biggest choker of all time

all im saying is dont listen to what talking heads say..pay more attention to what actually happens on the field...its a simple concept really
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

homers see it one way...thats farging point you troglodyte...i may be wrong as i painfully was in the case of the giant game but i will pick the eagles if i honestly feel that way

When you look at what happens on the field, how can you NOT think that Romo is a choker? All told, Romo has 3 playoff losses and 1 win. I remember in 2009 against the Vikes, he had three fumbles (losing two), an interception and was sacked six times in the 34-3 loss. In 2008, he had 3 int's in a 44-6 loss to the Eagles. Thats not mentioning whatever year it was that he fumbled the snap on a kickoff. He doesn't even have to be under center to choke and you trying to defend him is stupid.
