I heard on the radio last night that in order for OSU to be ranked #2 and get a spot in the championship game they only have to be ranked #2 in at least 25% of the ballots in the polls.

Stating that Bama is 100% with certainty better or more deserving than OkSt is also trolling, but you know this.

I had to laugh when Brent Musburger suggested that Ok State lost possibly because the woman's basketball coach died shortly beforehand in tragic circumstances.

Mike Greenberg, a similarly-credible sports personality, suggested the same thing.

The argument that makes sense is that Bama already had LSU at home and lost... Why should they now get them on a neutral field?

A lot of people are predicting it will be OSU over Bama, personally I would like to see that because the last Bama/LSU game didn't live up to the hype.

Now you're simply trolling.

:-D how is this trolling? I didn't think the last game lived up to the hype.  Do I think OSU deserves a shot over Bama, probably not.  I would just like to see a game that hasn't happened.

you have to remember that havas thinks of himself as some kind of cfb yoda where his word is god

a 4-team playoff where lsu hosts either stanford or oregon and bama hosts ok st for the right to play lsu would be terrific. it would take things out of the voters hands and the computers hand and put it on the field

but for some reason the true cfb fans love letting fat sports writers and computer nerds decide who plays who. its their sport so frankly if this is what they want its not costing me sleep.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Bama unexpectedly stayed ahead of OSU in the Wolfe poll as well, and, coupled with USA today numbers, means OKState would need to pass Bama by 5 or more votes in the Harris poll to jump them in the BCS.

OSU was up 24-7 in that game and blew it.  Hard to see that as an emotionally devastated team.

The second argument is one I've heard a lot recently but doesn't make sense judging by the context of other teams in play.  Its basically conceding that it would have been preferable for Bama to lose to someone like Vanderbilt instead of in OT versus LSU.  If you want to say OSU is better, or their resume is better, fine, but the rematch thing makes little sense, since the BCS supposed job is to put the two best teams on the field at the end of the year.

its not trolling....ff's comment comes from not having watched either team much if at all

bama is so clearly superior to okie state its not even funny...again they lost to farging iowa state...for god sakes stop the madness...the only reason okie state is where they are is because texas and oklahoma are having massive down years....georgia is probably undefeated right now if they play in the big 12

You missed my point. Greenberg is a loser.

Bama will be in the game, but saying either scenario is absolutely correct and fair is sensationalism and hyperbole at their best.

One other random thing I guess going to IGY's point about Iowa State...
no national championship winning team, has EVER, in the history of CFB, lost to a team which finished .500 or sub.500 (which Iowa State will do if they lose their bowl).  Ever.

ice grillin you

there is nothing sensationalistic about saying alabama is a better team than okie state....its fact....watch one half of one game from both teams and you can see this

if you hate the current syatem and think okie state deserves a shot via a playoff then i cant argue....but as it stands now in the current system to say okie st deserves to be there as much as alabama is insanity

Better team, probably. More deserving, maybe. 100% slam dunk they are not.

Supposedly Mack Brown will be forced out at UT.  I can't say that I understand that.

no one is saying that if they played ten times oklahoma state wouldnt win one against bama (or lsu)....anything can happen on a given day...its not about what would happen its about who deserves to be there and in any sane world alabama deserves it far more than ok state...both on resume and more importantly look test

like legendz aid lsu and bama are the two best teams....period....end of story...and thats what truly matters
