When people bitch about uniforms it's usually an over exaggeration...but in this case it's 100% warranted.

marylands ad is the former ad here at army - i got to know him a bit, and can say he was 100% behind the approval of the god-awful things. the guy is more concerned with the now and expanding his brand than anything else, and i know he's in his office today jacking off over how much these things were talked about.

This is pretty much what Cowherd said this morning and he's spot on. He said the only people bitching about the unis are 40 yr old white dudes. But UM isn't recruiting old white dudes, they're recruiting 17/18 yr old kids who like flash and bling. 

He's right too.

I was at the gym yesterday when that game came on.  shtein load of teenagers and twenty somethings simultaneously uttered "What in the hell is that?" when the Terps took the field.  Felt like an NFL Europe game.

i havent talked to a single fan of any age who thought they were anything less than atrocious and this includes lots of maryland fans

but the fact is they talked about them

and thats why they did it

no its partially why they did it.....they started a campaign almost a year ago to promote themselves to become marylands team and have everyone in the state root for them even if you arent an alumnist.....this is a big reason why they did it....the maryland flag being all over the uni wasnt to get the jerseys talked about....no one cares about the state of maryland anywhere else in the country

there are a lot of maryland fans who liked the helmets.

they're awful.

everyone is basically trying unsuccessfully to copy Oregon's formula.

When it was all said and done Oregon was rockin the best unis this week.  I have to admit I do like that white Boise helmet.  Same one they wore in blue last year against VAtech.
