this isnt football. 95% of the games you cant really take anything tangible from. its 1 pitch among 1000 or 1 at bat among 700. it really means dick in the grand scheme of things. im trying to get you all to stop over reacting to every loss or proclaiming some random ben francisco home run off of someone no ones every heard of to be a sign that hes going to be an all star.

just calm down. enjoy the game, make snide remarks, then move on. its not the eagles, it doesnt need any further dissecting other than "they won. good" or "they lost. damn."

you have to accept the fact that they are going to lose 60 games. thats already a given. when they lose to the nationals in september to push them out of the wild card lead, then, you have permission to fire the remote through the tv. but before that it really doesnt mean much.

also i think weve established this but you take sports too seriously

I have 0 concern about Cole right now. The main reason he sucked in 09 was his fastball MPH was dipping too close to his changeup (and he also threw too many curves). It was sitting at 89-90 most games. Last game he was averaging 93, and got to 95 on a few pitches. So long as the velocity is there, the rest will come in a few weeks.
