Kimbrel obviously hadn't pitched in a while. At some point you have to unzip the fly and show your dingus.

That would have been fine if the Braves were up in the 9th and they just wanted to get the guy some work, even if they had a 4+ run lead.  But in a tie game, home team sends their closer out in the top of the 9th, visiting team saves their closer in case they get the lead.

I get it. I really do. I still get the underhanded pitcher out of there when he puts two on, but... Whatever.

Sgt PSN

They definitely should have brought someone else in once Gload was announced.  Not sure if the Braves had any other lefties in the pen, but that would have been the logical move.

BTW... the last name of the kid pitching for Seattle right now is Furbush.

Sgt PSN

I look forward to a Det/Sea game featuring a Fister/Furbush pitching duel.

Looking forward to that Valdez-Martinez double-play combination!

Eagles_Legendz

i look forward to manuel batting one of them 2nd because of his refusal to ever move ruiz up in the order.

MDS

yea ruiz isnt very good with the ol bat there

slow, double play machine

not an ideal guy for anything higher than 7th
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Eagles_Legendz

it's late, so i can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not (i think you are but i've decided not to care and will respond as if you're being serious), but Ruiz' average alone is higher than Martinez' OBP and almost higher than Valdez' OBP.  The order flows pretty well when everyone is healthy, but it frustrates me that he refuses to move someone who has a .370+ OBP up in the order instead of valdez or martinez.

MDS

what order do you want

do you want ruiz hitting 5th or 2nd or something
