Pence talks heating up

Apparently it's back to being a Cosart/Singleton/3rd player/4th player? deal without HOF or Worley.  Wade wants players younger than HOF....ha

if they trade for pence, is that unequivocally mean hof is either sitting on the bench or going back to AAA?

Best thing about if they get Pence is it fills a void in their OF next year.  Pence/Shane/HOF should be pretty solid and isn't old.

that should be their OF for the next 3 years. if they get pence he gets an immediate extension.

the only thing to worry about, and J can attest to this, is he's a texan through and through. from fort worth, went to ut-arlington, plays in houston...who knows if he likes it in philly. hicks like lee and halladay and oswalt seem to be enjoying themselves but they arent texans.

Yeah usually Texans think that this is the only state and there is no other. Although he looks like a goober with his one batting glove and goofball face he can ball....plus it seems like every athlete who plays in Philly loves it there.

They need a bat though. If they give up Singleton/Cosart I will probably be ok with it.

im more sad about compton john but they are stuck with choke and his untradeable contract for the next 5 years anyway so they were going to have to deal him anyway.

pitching wise they gave up these guys over the last few years: jason knapp, gio gonzalez, carlos corrasco and kyle drabek.

drabek cant throw strikes. knapp i assume is dead. corrasco is a middle of the pack to below average starter. gonzalez is legit.

you never know with young pitching.

Funny how the two losses to the Giants has changed the tone of the sports radio freaks.

aint nothin changed but the weather...what you saw in the last two games of the giant series is what you will see in the playoffs unless the offense can somehow work some miracles...and hunter pence bj upton or carlos quinten isnt gonna change that...just as carlos beltran isnt going to change the giants offense

basically

if everything goes right its a 2-2 game going into the late inning (take away mike mike's error and have utley sac fly jimmy home in the 1st). then at that points its anyones game.

thats how its going to be best case scenario.
