Cole sucks against the Mets and it was under 70 degrees so you knew he was gonna struggle.  They might lose against BIG PELF too, I dunno.  Hard to get pissed off about April losses (unless there's 15 of them)

Maybe the Mets in April are a bad combination for Hamels.

He entered the season with a 4.11 ERA in April, which is his highest ERA in any month. He has a 3.38 ERA in July, a 3.12 ERA in August and a 2.80 ERA in September/October, which are his best three months as a pitcher. Hamels also is 2-9 with a 4.36 ERA in 14 career starts against the Mets.

Last season, Hamels went 0-4 with a 3.20 ERA in four starts against the Mets, although the Phillies were shut out in three of those losses. Elias Sports Bureau found Hamels as just one of four Phillies pitchers to lose four games against the Mets in one season. Grant Jackson (0-4 in 1970), Steve Carlton (2-4 in 1972) and Kevin Gross (1-4 in 1987) were the others.

"It's probably coincidence," Hamels said of his struggles against the Mets.
