The love for Schmidt came after he retired. Guy was a prick while playing. I loved him as a player back in the day. Howard got so much shtein for that last at bat against the Giants in the NLCS but Schmidt had a horrendous World Series in 1983 against the Orioles. It was horrible. He caught a lot of grief for it.

Screw those boneheads in the front row at the park. All they give a shtein about is gossiping away, being on tv and calling half the free world to tell them "Hey look at me! I'm sitting behind the Phils dugout. I'll stand up and wave."
