the fact that phillie fans have now resorted to using curses and voodoo to explain away the teams play is pretty much reaching the mountaintop of homerism

i was making fun of...whatever.

there are no moves to make. corner OF is the only area they could make a trade and ibanez and brown arent the issue. their offense is mediocre and is always going to be mediocre but itll generally score enough runs to win 3-2 games. problem is when a scoring chance gets farged over by some bad luck like hitting the umpire in the foot it could cost you since they just arent going to be able to pile on that many scoring chances each game.

easily the best team in the divison and league.

i know it's fun and neat to hate everything and to take a losing streak in June as an indicator on how they will play the rest of the year.  but it's bullshtein, the more i read this thread the more evident it becomes that people really don't understand baseball

without lopes telling him what to do he doesnt move

all he had to do was walk two thirds of the way down the line and the pirates have two options

1. pitch to choke and the minute the pitcher lifts his foot victorino runs home and scores
2. come out of your shift and put your third basemen at his normal spot

instead that dope tays on third base for the entire at bat...amazing

then he literally walks home not realizing that if utley tags and gets thrown out at second base before victorino scores the run doesnt count
