Im far from a hater. You'll never catch me calling WIP to piss and moan or get angry. You'll never catch me agreeing with Cataldi or Hughes.

I love the Phillies and baseball as a whole. I watch every game and so what if I make comments while watching. Frustrating or exciting or boring it doesn't matter, I watch.

You and Todd seem to think that making innocuous comments translates into hate and whining. Not true at all. So what if I get pissed because something happens?

Sports invoke emotions. If I'm such a hater and whined why do I predict them to finish first and win close to a hundred?

Amazing squeeze play. Wow.

So the Rangers have executed a double-steal of home and a suicide squeeze in this series.  Of course, the suicide squeeze came close to being literal...

J aint no hater.

hes always gonna be homer j.

just the over-reactive texan gets into him and he cant hold up. its the nature of right wing gun wielding houstonians.

if we traded places you very well might be a laid back mexican, too.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Love the Phils, won't complain too much, but it's painfully obvious that without at LEAST one additional stick (and not the return of Utley), this team won't get to the ultimate goal this season.  And after spending so much to build this rotation, to not address that issue would be a grave disappointment.

no hitters is right

Todd, I still crack up at this one.  Your response to the SI cover with the Fab Five.  How true!

This offense is just disgusting right now.    They make random shteinbag pitchers look like farging Sandy Koufax night after night.

Can soembody tell me why Pete Orr is going back down and not Mike Martinez? It's not much of a difference but Orr has actually done some useful things thisyear

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Martinez is a Rule 5 player.  They can't send him down without offering him back to the Nationals first.

Just hope the Rangers leave Michael Young behind.

Sick and tired of these farging hitters having absolutely no patience at the plate.

Oswalt gives up one run after 7 and the mighty bats produce nothing.  This series was a microcosm of what the season has/is going to be.  You called it Todd, lots of 2-1, 3-2 games going either way.

Keep in mind, that the Phils won 2 of 3.....which is more or less what they've done all year.  I think they've only swept 3 series (Hou, SD, DC) but haven't been swept in any 3+ game series.  The offense is a little worse than I think most people thought they'd be, but they've also given up the fewest runs in all of MLB.  Once Grit comes back, as long as the pitching holds up, this should be a middle of the pack offense with dominant pitching.  In other words, the 2010 SF Giants.

How's this for consistency:

Halladay after 10 starts last year: 6-3, 77.0 IP, 73 H, 23 R, 19 ER, 12 BB, 59 K, 2.22 ERA, 4 CG
Halladay after 10 starts this year: 6-3, 77.1 IP, 64 H, 20 R, 19 ER, 12 BB, 80 K, 2.21 ERA, 4 CG

He's noticeably better in hits, k's and runs.  Especially the k's.....christ, he's got 21 more.
