The problem with the Eagles is if they don't sign a difference maker at WR, then what? The WR draft class isn't very strong. Do you really want to draft yet another WR in the first round? Especially one like Mike Williams who doesn't project to be a true #1? Also, by doing that you'd most likely be passing up a top caliber CB prospect, since the draft is loaded at the position.

you cant "reach" on a wr just because the class isnt deep however at the same time there are going to be starting corners available to at least round three...so if a williams or davis (i farging love davis) is there in the first i think you probably go for it and wait on the corner

I don't think either Davis or Williams project to be a difference-maker. I think taking either in the first round is a mistake. Upside is always most important, and they don't have it. Not in my opinion anyway. If you take a WR in the top half of the first round and they become merely a #2 caliber WR then it was probably not the best pick they could have made.

well they are highly unlikely to get a difference maker in FA so if you care that much about getting wentz weapons then you should take one of those guys both if whom are lock first rounders in any draft and eagles will be lucky to have one of them even there when they pick

if you don't like either wr then nothing else matters you don't take one and factors like the depth of positions in the draft don't matter...all I'm saying is that if you like one of them as much as you do a corner there then it's better to take the WR cause you can get a great corner much later in this draft

Saints WR  Brandin Cooks is the object of trade talks with the Titans and Eagles identified as two interested suitors, per league sources.

hello there
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

One backup QB drawing interest on the trade market: #Eagles QB Chase Daniel. As teams try to improve there, Daniel is one to watch.

no idea who wants chase daniel, but hey. howie moved some bad contracts last year. if they move him, your back up qb options are the likes of: ryan fitzpatrick, case keenum, shaun hill, matt schaub. oh boy.

Diomedes

I'm good with any of those as #2 it it means shedding Daniels contact.  I'm no salary guy but I do know he's expensive.

If Wentz goes down I could give a shtein who steps in to lead the team to losing games.

i dont know what it might be but cooks has to come with a buyer beware sticker...why would the saints get rid of a really young play making receiver who seemingly is the ultimate fit in that dome

I'm grasping here because I think it would be stupid on their part, but maybe they feel their offense is super productive regardless of who Brees is throwing to, so they'd rather have the pick to shore up that garbage defense. And that's part of the buyer beware too... every offensive skill player I can remember who has left that system has become way less productive.

Agreed. Something's just not right. If they're only asking for a mid round pick I'd be fine with taking a chance.

I know Rappaport is a legit source but I can't see a team taking Daniel.

if its a mid round pick then the sirens really gotta go off

to qb's defensive theory maybe kendricks and a middle round pick

the report mentioned cook's frustration last year about basically being a decoy. is there a chance it pissed the team off enough to try and move him ?

That seems like BS. He complained after one game. Obviously he was a big part of their offense most of the season.

I'd be ecstatic over a mid rounder and Kendricks (only because I assume they are parting ways with Kendricks no matter what, and I'd rather it be part of a good deal), but I suspect the Saints want that first rounder.

yeah it seemed like a reach, but why the hell do they want to move him ?
