Just to stir up some shtein, here's PFF's view of the Eagles depth chart.

A lot of football nerds are more into Mathis and Graham than most fans are. On the other hand, a lot of homers would be outraged at Barwin being called average and DeMeco being called below average. I am kinda agnostic on Mathis and Graham, but I agree with PFF on Barwin and Ryans.

Kind of impressive they have no known "Poor" players according to PFF, but "Not Enough Info" seems a bit generous for Tebow.

mathis is a good guard but hes still a guard...to me guards are either elite or replaceable...hes replaceable 99% of the time...unfortunately the 1% might be this eagles roster as their OL depth is pathetic

a chip kelly roster is going have all good players but no great ones....thats what he wants...solid fall in line guys not super talented ones

how is there enough info on prosinki but not maragos they are basically the same player

average and below average color coding needs to be changed....i cant tell the difference at first glance

he doesnt not want super talented players....he just wants a culture club fit more than anything. the odds of there being a super talented culture club person are beyond slim.

It's early to declare this but I think Carroll nails down the other CB spot. Jenkins was on CSN the other day talking him up. It's a mystery why he didn't play more over Fletcher last season.

yeah no shtein....but what you are going to find on a chip kelly roster by and large is good but not great players

he will take an average player that he likes or fits his system or is a certain height weight and length over a great player everytime...talent isnt even a consideration for him

thats why on that chart the two elite guys both predate him and one of them is trying to get the hell out

I think Prosinski actually played defense for a while on the Jags, and that's what's being graded. Maragos probably doesn't even remember how to play safety.

Seems like it, that's where they have him during OTAs. The team likes Boykin in the slot, and none of the other 10 young CBs they've signed over the past two years have shown they can do anything yet.

he did but its a handful of games and hes 29...same age as maragos i believe

the problem is the chart doesnt account for special teamers...which is what they both are...still its silly to not be able to grade a guy like maragos who has been in the league for so long

demarco murray had an elite year but hes not an elite player yet....i agree tho with your premise...the notion that mathis is a better player is ridiculous...however its alot easier to be an elite guard than it is to be an elite rb...maybe thats their thinking...they are applying these grades to the players individual position not against the entire league
