The Eagles actually posted this on Facebook this morning.

It's things like this that make me wish I was born literally anywhere else on the planet other than Philly.

How has it come to this?

What did we Eagles fans do as a collective in past lives to be paying for this shtein as fans.

QB Eagles

You get to chose: Bradford or Cousins...who ya got?

For the same price, probably Bradford because he has a longer track record of being an average-ish QB. I'm not entirely sure whether Cousins will be good or whether that was an illusion that will fall apart after one year like his predecessor or Nick Foles. And Bradford already has familiarity with the Eagles.

I don't think there's much of a chance of the Eagles having a significantly better than average QB next year, or maybe even the year after that. That being said, Bradford is better than Peyton Manning was this season, so the Eagles should just stick with a QB who limits mistakes and focus on making the rest of the team as good as it can be. If they think someone cheaper like Chase Daniel can be that guy, then fine.

Bradford was significantly above average for much of last year once he got settled in and that was with next to nothing at wr and a terrible OL

the question is obviously his health history do you want to go long term with someone like that but as far as the position goes all things equal he's a much better qb than Kirk cousins and could be a top flight guy in this league if surrounded properly

am i the only one who wants to franchise him?

i know 20 mil is a ton but im apprehensive about long terming him and there aint shtein else out there
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

That's a tough question.

If you want the Eagles to be marginally competitive, then yes, franchise him.  If you want them to bottom out with Sanchez to get a better shot at a legit franchise guy in the 2017 draft, then don't.  They have to completely rebuild the offensive line, improve the receivers and defensive backfield and they also have to drop a safe on Fletcher Cox's doorstep.

I just don't see how they can begin to do that if they're spending one-seventh of their cap on Bradford.  If they were closer to competing, I'd roll the dice with Bradford even though I think he's a fraud.

Nope...in fact the money is irrelevant. I'd franchise him, give him an o line, a decent WR, a normal offense, and see what he can do from there. My guess is they let him walk and he goes to Houston and we either wind up with Chase Daniels or god for farging bid Sanchez for a year.

Rome

That's the rub, though.  How do you franchise him for 20 million and still be able to give him an offensive line, a wide receiver, etc. all in the same offseason?
