he didn't take marcus smith and had few if any "moves" in the draft....that is unless you believe he took all the Oregon players....pac ten players....and players that contained the exact MO that chip lusted over....

for the one millionth time the only draft that is in question as to whether Howie had final say on anything was 2013 and even that one chips finger prints are all over

this is not to defend Howie...I destroyed the hire when it happened and I would way rather have a football guy directing PP now....but this notion that hes a terrible drafter or somehow ruined the roster is so ridiculous...if you are one of those people who are so happy to give doug pederson a chance then you should do the same for howie...because he really doesn't have anymore experience running a draft than pederson does head coaching a football team

Agreed. Lurie is giving Howie a chance to prove himself, so I'd really prefer that he succeeds far more than he fails. There's going to be bad draft picks and bad free agent signings because that's just reality, but hopefully the bad decisions are outweighed by the good.

I'm not really "for" either him or Pederson, but there's no reason at this point for me too want anything other than for them to end up being really good at what they do.

im against both of them....but I mean the evidence is the evidence with Howie....its in black n white....you can ignore all that and make up/ignore the facts about Howie just because you want him as your scapegoat or you can recognize the real

I mean im 1000% against the Pederson hire but if he starts proving hes a really good coach im not just going to ignore it because I didnt like the idea of him at one time
