Draft pick update: #9 after this week (SNF/MNF have no impact)

hard to say what is going to happen in the giant game because it might mean nothing to either team then all bets are off but i think theres a really good chance the eagles lose out and get the number 2 overall pick...they cant pass cleveland but every other spot is in play right now

so many of the player acquistions/draft picks have been horrific that billy davis remains a way underrated bad move by chip...could argue its his single worst

Which is why I had no problem giving up a few first rounders and then some for MM "IF" Chip were to stay.  The drafts under his tenure have been awful.

certainly mm would not have been any better in this offense than bradford...

If only Sanchford had the awesome WRs that the two MVP candidates have this year. Imagine what the Eagles could do with the deadly combos of Ted Ginn/Philly Brown/Devin Funchess or Danny Amendola/Brandon LaFell/Matthew Slater.

Panthers and Pats might not have studs, but apparently they can catch. 

Also, you could say that both offenses scheme really well to get subpar receivers open all the freaking time. Chip schemes his receivers to be covered at all times.

All I'm saying is that either weapons or QB improvement would improve the team. And generally the floor is higher for a team with a good QB but zesty weapons (e.g. 2015 Packers) than a team with very good WRs and a questionable QB (e.g. 2015 Lions). With either Newton or Brady, the Eagles would be winning the division handily. Go back in a time machine and get prime Shady, Pimp, and Maclin, and I'm less sure of that.

I don't think there's a readily available option for either this season or next that is better than Bradford, whereas the team can definitely get its hands on new receivers, but let's not kid ourselves that the team wouldn't be better with a better QB.

Eagles will win the Super Bowl when they have no business winning it. It's gonna be that kind of team. Decent defense that makes plays at the right time or gets lucky more than not, an offense that is good enough but gets bailed out by refs and the defense, and a special teams that is a little luckier than the defense.
