You say these things like there's any chance they're going to be good next year, and any single move could keep them out of the playoffs.

so because they probably wont make the playoffs next year they should start a 29 year old journeyman practice squad qb who cant throw a football?

either find your future qb from somewhere else or start nick foles to see what you got in your 24 year old second year third round pick

dennis dixon is highly inappropriate

I don't disagree with this one bit. But I do think that you're underestimating the fact that Kelly very well could go with what/who he knows.

im definitely underestimating it....i dont think theres a chance it happens...but maybe im being completely naive...if it does happen then chipper will have solidifed every last one of my fears of him being hired

There's no franchise qb's out there now so why not just stick with Foles and bring Dixon in to speed the plow next year?

i have no problem acquiring dixon...id even say thats a cute idea...he just shouldnt ever start

Why is Dennis Dixon gettin' run in this forum as a serious QB threat?

You know what? If he starts then you go order your goddamn Jadeveon Clowney jersey's.

Optimism, ladies.

No one said he was going to start or even play for that matter.

Settle down, Esmerelda.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't think anything of the guy.  I'd rather have Foles as my starter because I think the guy can be a legit NFL starter.  Whether he can run whatever offense Kelly comes up with is the biggest question of the offseason and will probably decide the trajectory of the team for at least the next several years.

Four straight years of the The Super Bowl Champs being the Philadelphia Eagles' home opener opponent.
http://deadspin.com/5981403/for-the-fourth-straight-year-the-super-bowl-champs-played-in-the-eagles-home-opener.
My back of the envelope calculations say that the percent chance of that happening is 0.000256%, or 1 out of 4000 chance,
(12 opponents per year, -50% chance  that it is played at home, *4 seasons).
That's just assuming that they have an equal chance to play any opponent each year, which of course they don't.
Crazy.

My friend says that it should be 13/31 possibility of PHI playing the superbowl-winning team per season and 1/16 possibility that they play that team in the home opener (regardless of the week). Thus (13/31 * 1/16)^4 =0.000006398 =~1 in 160,000.
