In all fairness, if Desean doesn't drop one in the endzone against Atl, there may or may not even be a game saving situation for Maclin at the end.

Drops are not an accurate stat but BGN takes a look at his drops from last year and attempts to separate the bogus from the obvious.

Mike Wallace is a more productive deep threat receiver right now in the NFL. Desean hasn't done much this year so far, we will see. Everyone has to realize both receivers are very young and will make these mistakes. Maclin seems to have a longer shelf life than Desean though. I'd hold onto him until he's a vegetable from the hits. A player with his ability is worth the risk and investment IMO.

DeSean is the guy defensive coordinators game plan for.

Maclin is the guy who makes some plays when Jackson is being double covered.
