With the loss yesterday the Colts pick is currently #9 but they play the Jets, Jags and Texans the next 3 weeks so that pick will be in the teens soon. Wentz just needs to play 5 more games. They'll be over .500 after this stretch so benching him isn't a concern.

Even though the Dolphins lost the pick falls from #2 overall to #3 because Houston lost and they have a weaker strength of schedule

the dream is alive for the colts to hang around playoff contention and fall short, win like 7 or 8 games, and give the eagles a top 15 pick. dolphins pick is for sure top 10, maybe top 5. less sting when the eagles make the playoffs.

I hope the colts knock off the Jets,Jags, and Texans. Helps clear out the bottom feeders which could allow Mia to move up. That's the big deal. Eg if the Dolphins could say move from 4 up to the 3 pick, that may be as valuable as if we get Colts 1st vs 2nd round pick.

I don't think these results come as a surprise to either Gannon or Howie though. They both knew the back seven were going to be league worst (or close to it) this season.

Barely made any attempt to address it because so many other areas needed fixing and they were strapped for cash. Best case scenario is a competitive team in 2023. By then we should have an indication if any of these coaches are worth a damn, at least.
