According to that pick site Birds still would have pick 10 even after yesterday's win. Miami's pick is currently #3 overall after yesterday's loss and the Colts is #7 but could be higher after tonight's game should they lose.

Who cares about the picks?  They could be 1,2, and 3 overall, and these guys would still be starting inferior players for non-football reasons, implementing high-school level gameplans, and embarrassing the paying fans.

Why, having no access to the game, did I watch NFL.com gamecenter updates for three and ahalf hours yesterday?

I'm helpless.  An addict, who doesn't get high anymore.  Best I can do is feel some relief when a W accidentally falls in our lap.

But for farg sake, the problem is Lurie first and foremost.  He's given the team over to Wormtongue and thanks to the likes of Dan Snyder and the idiot ownership in Houston, no one outside of a few Eagles fans have noticed that he's legit terrible owner.

out of the 10 teams in the middle pile, 2 have to make the playoffs. gonna be fairly unpredictable and random which 2 it will be.

One from whatever division plays the AFC South and one from whatever division plays the AFC East.

Kudos on the perfect Lord of the Rings analogy. I've been met with blowback on here for years for saying Lurie's an awful owner. I laid off criticism after they won the SB but he's been a meddling nuisance since he bought the team. No arguments from me Sirriani is shtein and Hurts just doesn't and never will have it but I'm sticking to my guns and giving them the full year to prove otherwise. The picks are the silver lining. Yea Howie sucks at drafting but he's great at getting value for picks. Since there ain't shtein for qb prospects in this draft I hope he moves picks for picks in the 2023 season.

This season was always gonna suck... it was more telegraphed ahead of time than any season since the late 90s. First year of a major teardown and rebuild. And with their salary cap situation, eating the Wentz contract, and the ages of their big money players, it was necessary. If Hurts and/or Sirianni show us something, that's unexpectedly great. If not, who cares, they are basically set up to be temporary caretakers.

Whatever my complaints are about the Eagles, it doesn't have a whole lot to do with outcomes of games this season.

The win yesterday says a lot more about how much of a paper tiger Carolina is.  They're decidedly mediocre.

I can't root for them to lose, but there is a part of me that thinks they'd be better off losing out in the long run.

Two top-10 picks, and maybe the Colts in the 12-16 range. I'd be afraid the Colts would find an injury to Wentz if that pick got any higher... as if Wentz needs help in that regard... that's serves the Eagles' best interests this season.

That and cleaning house in the FO and the coaching... not like that's going to happen.

I'm not buying the concept that the Colts will bench Wentz to save their 1...he's on their team through 2023 at least...so if they were to do that, they'd be declaring him a failure while facing another year plus with him on the team, as they look for his replacement...I don't see it.  If he actually gets injured, that would serve them best...

i would not consider any of the tier 2 teams in those divisions juggernauts. maybe the 49ers and saints are the best of the lot? the eagles stink but this feels like a situation where 8-9 might be enough
