Brandon Stokley

Clayton was just on Mike and Mike saying Stokley's agent is saying no deal

Close to a deal with Cullen Jenkins. Dude's a beast, and that would suck. Guess it keeps him away from Dallas though....

Was hoping the Eagles would pursue him. ALL IN.

jenkins is what i was talking about when i was saying that there was much better players out there than babin...if washburn is so good why not let him make good talent great instead of limited talent good

Jenkins is a 3-4 end. He eats up space. Doesn't exactly equate to the Babin signing.

Although I would have been happy as hell to have him play as a DT.

Brandon Stokley thinks twice about heading to Washington
Posted by Mike Florio on July 28, 2011, 10:27 AM EDT

With an unprecedented 80-hour gap between the opening of the market and the signing of contracts, we were expecting one or two (or more) guys to renege on non-binding verbal agreements.

And we now have our first one.

On Wednesday, agent Rick Smith declared on his Twitter page that receiver Brandon Stokley had agreed to terms with the taterskins.  "Congratulations to Brandon Stokley a Washington taterskin," Smith said.

We then pointed out that Stokley's arrival gives the taterskins a crowded house at receiver.

Apparently, Stokley and/or Smith read PFT.

"Spoke to soon. Brandon Stokley won't sign with taterskins.  Too many WR's signed," Rick Smith tweeted on Thursday, via ESPN.com.

Stokley — and every other free agent who has agreed to terms — have every right to back away from any agreement that has been reached.  As we wrote on Tuesday night, "An executive with an NFC team speculated that some teams may be concerned about doing an agreement in principle and having the agent or the player shop that offer to someone else, since a deal isn't binding until it's signed."

In Stokley's case, it's possible that he realized after the fact that the taterskins have too many receivers.  It's also possible that some other team has offered Stokley a better deal, and that Smith is hiding behind that excuse.

Either way, it's safe to say that the taterskins aren't happy about this one.

thats what i mean....hed be a great replacement for either bunk or patterson and could step outside if you wanted to throw some different looks at the offense

I wanted him as a DT. He fits the Eagles mold of a DT too.

He was inconsistent at times, but I thought he was good enough to bring back. I wish him luck for 14 games of the season and spendid shanking all throughout the other two.

Stephen Bowen.....5/$27.5M/$12.5M guaranteed

for 1.5 sacks last year

yo easy ends in a 3-4 arent supposed to rush the passer...bowen is a good run stopper that they are hoping will allow orakpo to get off

plus it took a guy away from a divison rival...same as cofield

skins for once are making moves for people on the right side of 30 and not just names but actual players...their offense should be horrific but watch out for their defense next year...cofield and bowen are good gets

i dont know what worth it means...again i dont care about money
