Eagles guard Todd Herremans was fined $5,000 for hits on Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty. Herremans was called for two penalties on Sunday, and Canty was furious because he thought Herremans was trying to take him out at the knees.

Goodell must throw darts or something for fine amounts. Samuel gets $40,000 and Herremans 5k? He is a silly man.

I find the game entertaining, not the WWFesque celebrations of scores, tackles, etc.  There's no class or respect in it.  You didn't score the TD, mr. diva receiver, the team scored.  Save the celebration for if and when you actually win the game and until then act like a gentleman.

There's a difference between celebrations and what some douchebag does down 28 when he tackles someone for a 2 yard loss.  I don't mind celebrations as long as they're warranted.   People acting like farging champions when their team is getting rocked are dumbasses and makes the celebrations look worse.

Brandon Jacobs is $20,000 poorer because he acted on an impulse that most visiting players to Eagles fans have probably felt at one time or another.

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports Jacobs was fined for "unsportsmanlike conduct toward fans."

"Jacobs was observed by an NFL security representative making obscene gestures and yelling obscenities toward fans in the stands," NFC information manager Randall Liu said Friday.
