Eagles off the bye, against the team they never beat...something's gotta give!

I was thinking the same yesterday no way Kolb would of survived yesterday. Vick had his weakest game yesterday so far this season but he still had zero INT's and is making plays with his feet when he needs to. I am fine with him bailing early, the defense doesn't know what the hell to do with him. He seems to be able to throw much better now than in the past.

Some of his throws yesterday were absolutely perfect, just beautiful.

I have to admit, if not for having Vick @ qb, the Eagles would have lost yesterday, Kolb would have probably gotten' another concussion. Vick is the only qb who can survive a game behind this line, they suck horrendously. Sometimes it seemed Vick was dropping back fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. He made some beautiful passes, tight spirals that sailed through the air like missiles. He pretty much carried the team because I don't know that there is another qb in the league who could have operated behind that line.

I'm trying not to falut Vick, but he bails too early. The line was awful - no doubt - but when a pocket did form he still scrambled. I know a lot of that is a lack of trust in his line but he has to get over that and learn to recognize a pocket when it's there.

I dont know how much of it is lack of faith in his line or the fact that be just basically had his sternum crushed. if hes feeling pressure, I dont want him standing in there tall like the other totem pole qb's in the league. hes a rare qb that has the luxury to gain 25 yards in open field by running out of that pocket. if hes sees it, he should take off.

I can't believe the Eagles won....stupid team made me have faith in them again. Super Bowl.

Patterson also looked good, hopefully he played well enough to steal Hobbs starting job

That is why this team is so frustrating one week they beat a team like this the next who knows.  I will say this though the team is clearly more confident with Vick in there, they have a different swagger.

Some other thoughts:
-Jason Peters had his best game as an Eagle. Never mind his one stupid penalty, Freeney was a non-factor. I know they gave him help from time to time but he held his own when he was singled up on him.

-Stewart Bradley is a liability in coverage and especially on seem patterns. He needs safety help the further we go into the season, I cringe to think what Dallas Clarke would have done to him.

-Cut me a break with the Colts were injured nonsense. The Eagles have had just as many injuries this season to just as many key players. Vick/Kolb/Bradley/Jackson/Allen/Hobbs/Bunkley/Peters/J Jackson and I'm probably missing a bunch of other players.

-Where have you gone Brent Celek? Maybe he should have spent the offseason working out instead of on Facebook, Twitter, and Daily News Live.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

He threw to Owen Schmitt yesterday

I watched Celek close yesterday, almost every play he runs his little route, doesn't get open, then raises one of his hands like he is. It's painful to watch.
