Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

not so thinly veiled subject change....feeling on memphis friday?

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I hate being a Sixers fan... It's the one team in Philly that hasn't done shtein in ten years.

No way they blow a 15 point lead with 2 minutes left, right?

Hawk

As bad as it is, I do miss watching this team, living in DC.  I watch them on channelsurfing from time to time but I can't stand watching a game on a computer.  I'm interested in the development of Jrue/ET.

I have classes on weeknights so I'm not paying 99 dollars for a cable service I'd use about once a month.

Sixers' Collins anoints Iguodala the go-to guy

Be prepared to see the ball in Andre Iguodala's hands more often.

After Monday's practice, 76ers coach Doug Collins answered, "Yes," when asked whether there was something legitimately different with Iguodala's current demeanor and attitude.

That is to say, Collins believes he has Iguodala, all of Iguodala, on board with whatever comes next for this team.

"And I'm going to start using him more as a point-forward because I think he's a triple-double guy," Collins explained. "He's a very, very unselfish player. He loves to pass."

Through the first half of the season, the burden of ballhandling has fallen primarily on the shoulders of point guard Jrue Holiday, with backup guard Lou Williams handling on designated possessions.

Whether devised as an alternative to Holiday, who has made some crucial turnovers in recent weeks, or just acting on a hunch that Iguodala's game is about to skyrocket, Collins said he's going to make an effort to start using Iguodala "a lot" as a point-forward.

"I want to get to the point where Lou does it, Dre does it, Evan does it, and Jrue, so we don't just have one guy who has to be in that situation," Collins said of the handling the ball and starting the offense. "So it relieves the pressure."

Collins said this slight shift wouldn't change anyone else's position or role.

Hopefully they're just showcasing him for a potential trade

Iguodala is a very nice passer in transition, and when he occasionally gets matched up against a weak defender inside he pulls off a pretty pass...but he is not a point forward.

Collins can try and pump him up and feed his ego all he wants, but the fact remains he doesnt have near a good as handle as Jrue and gets caught in traffic way too many times. Matter of fact Iguodala's handle is avg at best, and if it was above avg. he might be able to take a player off an iso and get to the rim and get even more assists. His passing abilities are highlighted in the open court, occasional baseline, but not near enough in the half court to make him any kind of pt forward.

I gotta imagine this is exactly what they're doing.  Taking the ball away from him and reducing his role would only hurt them in trade talks.  So they pump him up a little in the press and do everything they can on the court to inflate his stats and hope that someone bites.
