When Turner was starting you could see him starting to develop his all around game. Hell, there was even games in all of those losses where turner was the bright spot on the floor. Even the Miami game where Wade was covering him pretty tight he put up like 16/5/7 or something like that. He was boarding his ass off and facilitating plays better than anyone on the court.

Problem was consistency caught up with him, and he earns himself on the bench for Meeks because Doug Colling needs points on the scoreboard--and Turner is not that guy.

I dont think hes horrible and he still has a legit shot to be good at this level because he knows the game better than most rookies/players, plays solid defense, and he puts himself good positions on the court. Some players never understand that. I just dont think it can happen on the Sixers with Jrue developing into a stud. Hes got the handle, but Turner needs to work on his penetration and jump shot in the off-season. Until then, he plays sparingly or rides wood.

amazing that a team like the sixers would be getting all the calls in the garden....but the celtics have 17 team fouls including four on pierce and three on garnett and the sixers 5

oh and collins saw enough of turner last night....he hasnt played a second this evening

8 and a half to go, tie game....I want to see what happens here when Garnett and Pierce come back on the court.

what a pouty loser iguodala is.  trade, trade, trade, trade.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I cant even believe Jrue doesnt have the ball in his hands right now

farg iguodala and his non-ball handling ass

SunMo

two clutch possessions with the ball in his hands and NOTHING

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

another farg up--there was no foul on iguodala there...he just Hoyda'ed the ball

why they continue to give it to this guy for the last second shot is beyond me

SD

I'm not even kidding when I say Igoudala is in my top 5 most hated Philly athletes of all time. Piece of shtein.

MDS

you better not let havas hear this

he still hasnt gotten over "the godfather" being traded
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

i do miss the godfather....their interior d is so awful...one of the reasons they match up fairly well with the celtics is because no one on their team goes hard to the basket either on offense where they are all jump shooters or on defense/offense as they are a terrible rebounding team...rondo obviously can get to the hoop but hes not a strong finisher at all

last night blasted you in the face with the two major differences in the teams...a go to guy...you saw what pierce did in the last minute vs what iguodala did....sixers just dont have that go to guy...and defensive rotations...the celtics are the best in the nba when it comes to defensive rotations...they make the right switch almost everytime and they always do at the end of the game.....where as the sixers lose more men than the iraqi army

The interior d has been fine over this nice stretch they had. In case you missed it, they beat down Dwight Howard on the inside, swatted the shtein out of him and did the same thing to Gasol. The players have done a nice job doubling down in the post and rotating on the wing.

That joke of a basketball player you call the godfather would actually make this team worse than they are because at least now you have 3 guys fighting for a rebound every shot with less turnovers.  Matter of fact I'll take Hawes with his outside shot and hustle on defense all day over that dish washing drunk idiot.

ice grillin you

ha...because of the trades the magic essentially had to play with six players that game....howard talked about how difficult a game it was for him and how spent...you know how hard it was and how tired he got...he only went for 26 and 20

and of course youd rather have spencer hawes a soft seven footer who cant rebound defend or block shots because he hustles...who are you james naismith?

the reason the sixers are much more competitive this year is because of their three point defense...which is incredibly improved and lost them uncountable numbers of games the last few years....the reason they arent over .500 tho is because their interior defense and rebounding took a hit with the loss of the godfather and is subpar at best

they wouldnt be a very good team no matter who their center is but if youd rather have spencer hawes in the middle than the godfather you are stupid or insane or both

i think what you really mean is youd rather have spencer hawes and doug collins than the godfather and eddie jordan....and this i agree with

Not sure you are noticing Spencer Hawes' play either because you choose not to because hes white or you have your face in a bowl of Samoan ice cream. Either way, I don't know if this is a fluke or what, but Hawes is a completely different basketball player than what we saw in the beginning of the season.

Still, I'll leave it up to you to like one of the dumbest centers ever to wear an NBA uniform. Flat out truth.

ice grillin you

another white elder strikes again

ill take dumb negros who rebound block shots and defend the rim

you can have doughy white centers who cant play in the paint and are fundementally sound
