I don't see the point in adding a guy like Langenbrunner unless they feel they need another leader around since Pronger is down.

i think it means the end of zherdev...with him not a fit at all for this team the right side needs bolstering and langenbrunner would do that...plus he would be invaluable in the playoffs...provided they dont over pay i like the move

3rd and a 5th is the rumored offer.  NJ wont do it.  I really would like to move Zherdev to an Westcoast team, not the Devils.  Flyers will move Zherdev, i cant see them keeping him around at all.

I don't know why they'd get rid of a guy like Zherdev, he's as talented of a goal scorer as they have. Who cares if he lacks a complete game, the Flyers have enough of those guys. It's not like Briere isn't a liability defensively.

i was all for taking a shot on zherdev so that he would provide the offensive firepower and skills that this team doesnt possess but its obvious why he was blackballed to russia from the nhl

its completely unfair to compare briere and zherdev in terms of defense making the right play making people better around you ect....zherdev is totally irresponsible in all ends of the ice not just in his own end is a turnover machine and i dont think hes thrown a hit all year....briere physically is at a huge disadvantage but his effort is there and positonally he is usually where he needs to be...plus hes smart with the puck...briere is certainly no selke candidate but he isnt the dog that zherdev is...say what you want about plus minus but briere is plus 18 and zherdev plus four (with 13 goals)

if you are gonna be the liability that zherdev is you better lead the team in goals and do something big almost every game...instead hes completely invisible most of the time...shtein langenbrunner could do offensively what zherdev has...i mean christ zherdev has two assists the entire year

I was using Briere as an example. The Flyers have enough two way players and a deep enough defense to keep a pure goal scorer on their roster...that was my point.
