Total collapse by all concerned.   The defense was complete shtein today.  Yeah, Boosh sucked but he wasn't the main culprit today.  They better get their shtein together on Monday, or this is gonna be over in the wink of an eye.

im not gonna fly off the handle and say the series is over

im not gonna say buffalo sucked and the flyers dont know how to handle a real squad

im not gonna say that every team they have faced in the last 25 years has started a series against them with the better goalie

im gonna contine to go with my pre series prediction that they are superior on paper and will win in six

I'm no boosh lover by any stretch, but he was not the main problem.  The defense in front of the net was horrid.  Boston dominated every aspect of the game.

that was my impression too, sunny.

it's easy to drill boucher because he's supremely average in every respect, but the defense was abysmal yesterday.  like all-time bad.  it's like they were disinterested in the beginning, then sloppy, then said farg it towards the end.

This.  The problem that surfaced periodically in the Sabres series was pretty much evident from opening faceoff to final horn yesterday.

leino was all time bad yesterday...he was the reason they scored the killer second goal and i would love to see a number for the amount of puck possesion time he had in the first two periods....i bet it was under ten seconds

It seemed like every time the Flyers had possession they lost it because of sloppiness and admitted aggressive play by the Bruins and conversely every time the Bruins had the puck the Flyers had their heads up their asses in disarray.

If I'm Lavy I drill it into their heads from the moment they hit the locker room after the game till the opening faceoff tomorrow.  Be aggressive but be careful with possession.  If they're charging just dump it out until you get the proper personnel out there.  And for the love of God, stop taking stupid farging penalties.

Agreed...they could have had Broudeur in his prime and the outcome would have been similar. They were beaten in every facet imaginable. And the officiating was horrendus for both sides.

yeah the thing that stood out most to me was how big boston looked...and how strong they were...it seemed like men against boys out there

Igy, I thought the same thing.  Bruins came to town to kick some ass.  Leading up to game 1 all I heard from the press was how much more aggressive and tougher the Flyers were.  Could have fooled us.
