In terms of length of contract it's horrendus, but that pans out to roughly $5 million per year which is very fair for a player of his caliber.

The amount of puck handling skill they Flyers have between Giroux, Lieno, and Zherdev is almost unfair.

I don't want to get all homer-ish on this team, but they really look legit right now. They're three lines deep with talent and (dare I say it) grit. If Bob looks like this at mid-season I might be sporting permawood.

Keep in mind they'll be getting Leighton back soon to give Bob some rest and keep his legs fresh for the 2nd half

Bob seems like the guy they've been missing for years.  Its early, but he's as consistent as a goalie they've had for a long while.  But RJS is right, he very well might never get a SO just by bad luck

And Giroux is just great to watch.

that was a fun game to watch last night.  giroux is insane.  and great signing of carter too.  the length is a bit worrisome but the cap hit is minimal so it's moot.

The only relevant F/A they have to worry about beyond this season is Leino, they have some cap space and could easily clear some more with a few tweaks. NOW would be a good time to restock their prospects.
