Quote from: SD on September 13, 2010, 04:25:17 AM... yesterday showed his decision making isn't as bad as it was 5 years ago.

You mean, when he threw to the only covered man out of four options in the endzone?  Or on the same play, declining the open field in front of him?

no I'm talking about the almost 300 yards of offense he racked up in one half of football. I watched the replay, he only ran out of the pocket when he had to - which was often because this O-line is so bad right now I don't know how Reid can expect to keep a pocket passer alive the entire season. He completed %66 of his passes too.

But yes, the play you're referring too was his fault.

Magical_Retard

Actually I dont know if Reid coached scared. He coached as if nothing matters. Take him out one play, put him back the other, pass out of Shotgun most of the time, and ignore the run still. Thats not coaching scared, thats your typical stupid Reid coaching/calling.

Coaching scared would have meant running the ball and playing the field position game.

no early rhythm throws to get Kolb into the game.

Some of you mentioned that this season is to see if Kolb can play and that if he sucks they have to re-start. You seriously believe that? I say they give him, and they should, at least 2 seasons. They did re do his contract. Just for the love of all that makes sense run the ball and stop taking him out every other play.

im not saying 100% get rid of him if he sucks this year but it really doesnt take more than 16 starts to tell if a guy has it
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

hes not wrong in this case but because he hung out with cobb in texas dont expect him to ever really get into the quarterback and if it comes to the qb or reid hes gonna go after reid everytime

How bout starting with "hey Kevin, you're the starter, don't bother looking on the sideline every play to see if you should come out of the game".

yeah, Kolb is the apple of his eye right now, no doubt

i just can't believe that Reidtard didn't call any wr screens or rb screens to help Kolb out early on.  just baffling.

There was a lot baffling about that game.  Like calling all three timeouts with so much time left.  I don't understand how he can't get the concept of appropriate ways to use them.

Not to mention the horrible 4th and 1 call.  Everybody in the world knew what was coming.

Also like SD said a guy who for the first time is deemed the starter and he keeps getting pulled in and out.  He basically played less than a quarter and a half.

Kolb was throwing into double teams even when he had time. The other times he was running scared. I would be looking over to the sideline too to come out.

Plenty of us would have preferred to see Reid go over McNabb, and said so early and often.  Me, for example.

But if Reid wasn't going to go then McNabb had to.

:yay

even more baffling cause he did for Vick and they worked really well.

Well yeah but you are talking about a coach who holds on to players who obviously have no talent simply cause they are "his guys". I really doubt its make it or break it for Kolb this season.

PoopyfaceMcGee

If Kolb plays like he did in the first half, he won't last through the season - probably due to injury but possibly due to benching.

Munson

yeah, say what you will about rhythm...in order to establish a rhythm, you have to get started somewhere, and he never even got started. His throws were off target and many times into coverage. He looked terrible.

Don't know how anyone is surprised at that though. Everyone saw this coming if Reid kept running the offense the same way he ran it with McNabb. The oline was gonna get Kolb killed that way. I just thought it'd take longer than a half of football to do so.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
