I think we hit rock bottom in the past back to back losses. That even felt worse than the 3-13 season. So, we can only go up from here...even in our losses. It's going to be an enjoyable season with very low expectations. No pressure.

you really think come the bye week if the eagles are 2-5 there won't be any pressure ?

Not regarding any of my expectations. I'll be relaxed...sure I'll be pulling for them to win...but it's not going to be like recent seasons of superbowl expectations.

yeah no debating the expectations aren't where they have been but no doubt that the eagles will be questioned left and right by the national media especially if kolb doesn't play well.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

The media questioning the eagles...is that something new?

As long as I see incremental improvement by Kolb from week 1 to week 17 showing that he can be the leader and a reliable QB...I'm good with that.

I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

I think they're going to trounce the Packers.

I know I'm the only person here who feels like this team is much better than they're being given credit for, but I'll stand by that until proven wrong.

saying they will 'trounce' the packers is setting a new bar for homerism...i think they can win but its not like they are playing the chiefs...even if you think the eagles are going to the superbowl the packers are a good team who probably wont get trounced all year by anyone

key to the game is obviously the oline...im not sure they can win even with a good oline performance because i dont think cobb is up to out gun slinging aarron rodgers head to head yet but without it its gonna get super ugly

For some odd reason I think the O-line will be fine early in the season, then crumble around the half way point. Still think they lose by 7-10.

i think its the opposite...with no cohesion and injuries i think they are a mess early and hopefully those things correct themselves and they become a solid unit down the road

you can say whatever you want about the preseason and how teams dont show anything and the schemes are dialed back or non existent...but the one place you cant really hide is the oline...especially things like being unable to properly line up on the line of scrimmage and false starts and just overall complete breakdowns....its certainly correctable stuff but i dont see it happening over the last week of practice...its gonna take time to get their shtein in sync and to heal their wounds
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

i just hope he makes it through the season with that o-line.

I agree with all of this but still think the opposite. I have no logic for my assumption but I stand by what my opinion. Call it a gut feeling.

I am hoping for a shootout...I have Rodgers, Jennings, Crosby, and Pimp starting for my fantasy team.  I think there is a solid chance of that happening if the Eagles Oline can pass protect.

Week one is a tough week to predict anything.  I don't think last year that anybody thought the Eagles were going to dismantle the Panthers.  They traditionally start slow under Reid and do poorly against teams that run the ball well.

one thing you would think they would do to help the Oline and KK is run the ball (lol), throw quick slants which will be deadly with Maclin and Pimp, and run screens.

if they do those things, that will help KK when it's time for 5 and 7 step drops

Green Bay doesn't exactly have the world's best QB rushers, which is the only sane reason to think that the Eagles have a chance.

Not that I care about this kind of shtein, but whats the O/U? It's gotta be close to 55 or so..

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i've seen 47, which seems like a lock

shtein, I shouldnt have asked. I havent bet a game since the Kansas-Memphis NCAA final, but you're right - that's a farging lock.

joneszilla

The last i saw was 47 1/2.   I like the over in all of GB's games this year.

Some iffy lines this week, like Carolina getting 7 at NYG.
