The further removed from Donovan McNabb the Eagles get the happier I am. I spent so many years loving him, then liking him, then trying to justify liking him, then hating him, seeing his dumb fat ass in the taterskins' locker room is just farging perfect.

QB Donovan McNabb. He still could be adjusting to the offense. He could be bothered by the fact that he really only has one proven receiver. Or he could just be having a bad camp. It's only 10 days into camp so it's not time to panic. However, McNabb had another bad day Saturday. He's waiting too long after the receiver cuts to make the pass, a sign that he perhaps does not yet trust them. Receivers who have broken free on crossing patterns often have to reach back inside to make a catch. His passes have allowed beaten defenders to recover. At what point do you get concerned? If he has a bad preseason, too.

Is it time to be worried about Donovan McNabb? Doubt it, though one Eagles insider said he typically looked better in camp with Philadelphia. The thing to keep in mind, though – as anyone who has watched him knows; and has been pointed out to me by the insider and even an Eagle fan via email -- is that McNabb's best trait is keeping plays alive after they break down. In practices, there is less improvisation; in games, there will be plenty.

McNabb, on the other hand, must be wondering if he is back in Philadelphia.

On the first day of taterskins training camp, a heckler stood near the front of the crowd and criticized every bad pass, every bobbled ball and pined out loud for the return of departed quarterback Jason Campbell.

"Must have been a great catch," the fan yelled after McNabb completed one pass, "because it couldn't have been a good throw."

CSN Philly played a clip of him yesterday saying something to the effect of (paraphrasing):  "you try to have a good first performance as a team, but if one person plays well and the others don't then you're not getting done what you want to do"  or something like that.

mcnabb is a lot of things...and a lot of bad things...but hes the opposite of unintelligent...much less ridiculously so...did you watch him for a decade ff?
